Edition 20: January 30, 2023 - February 3, 2023
A message from our school:
Dear Riverview Academy Parents, Guardians, and Families,
I hope you are having a great weekend! Second Quarter report cards were posted and shared this afternoon. If you need assistance accessing your child’s report card, please email or call us and we will be happy to assist you. Teachers will be reaching out to schedule conferences on Thursday, February 2. If you do not receive an invitation and desire a conference, please reach out to your teacher to schedule.
Our team is analyzing the results of our recent FAST and Renaissance PM2 testing event. Early results tell us that we have much to celebrate! For example, 3rd-9th grade FAST results show that the average RAMS student is outperforming the state and district, often by a significant margin. As our analysis continues, we will use the data to make adjustments that allow us to best assist your children in reaching their maximum academic potential this year.
In partnership,
Chris Bertha
Campus Administrator
Important notes:
-
School starts at 8:00 a.m. Please be sure to arrive in advance of the opening bell to ensure that your student is not tardy to class. Excessive tardies become absences on student records and create a disruption to learning for all students.
-
3rd-9th grade students must be picked up by 3:30 p.m. unless they are enrolled in aftercare or clubs. Students who are not picked up will go to “Emergency Aftercare,” resulting in a charge to families.
-
This also applies to students who wish to stay on campus to watch evening sporting events. For safety purposes, students who are on campus must be actively supervised.

Reminders & Updates
CARLINE: Thank you for continuing to drive safely and follow the rules of carline. We appreciate your patience during this time as we work out the flow of carline. To help assist us in that:
- Remove your 'car tag' once your child is IN your vehicle. (This makes it easy for us to know with just a glance that you do not need assistance.)
- Talk to your children about being alert when outside, looking for their vehicle and listening for their name.
- If asked to go to holding, please remain in your vehicle. A stationed staff member / safety patroller is there to assist you.
- As you first enter campus, the right lane should be used for Park & Walk lot access only.
- K-2 pickup begins at 2:30 p.m. Vehicles should not enter campus until 1:45 p.m.
- 3-9 pickup begins at 3:00 p.m. Vehicles should not enter campus until 2:30 p.m.
- Arriving earlier than these times creates additional traffic and carline delays
